  i can't believe it, but i missed my first memorial!!!.

  i wasn't sure what was going to happen, until it was past the time to get ready and leave.

  i left it up to my husband, and he made no effort to get ready and go.

  i recently read an interesting thread (is there a 'third' way to leave?

  ) that talked about fading instead of being df'd or da'd.

  i myself had planned to fade, but was df'd instead.

  I'd be curious too, if I were in your position. I don't know if they'd tell you if you called and asked, but it's worth a shot I guess. I assume I've not been disfellowshipped - but I don't know if I would ever find out if they did. I don't have family in nearby, and most of the local dubs already shun me anyway.

  sure they will, except that Armageddon isn't coming. Waiting on Armageddon is a little like waiting for the state of Illinois to pay it's bills, but even more unreliable if you can imagine that.

  How to tell family why you are no longer attending meetings?

  so it has been over a month, maybe closer to two that i haven't attended a meeting.

  my stress level has gone way down, and my life is pretty good right now.

  well as you know, there are tons of nosy witnessess.

  I'd tell Mom that her sources must be trying to stir up trouble. You've been at every meeting, you've been busy in service, and you have no idea why someone would tell her otherwise.

  We will not be attending this year. We did not attend last year either. Given our situation - no close family members in the borg and no friends left in the borg who will still speak to us, there's really no reason for us to go except to stir up trouble. Some days I wouldn't mind poking the hornet's nest for a little excitement, but right now it just seems like too much trouble.

  My wife just told me to move out...

  because of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.

  she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.
